North Carolina Outward Bound School challenges you to blaze new trails this year. Join us for this award-winning trail race series in four locations in and around Charlotte.
This series features some of the most scenic and challenging trails in the Southeast. It is designed to suit a variety of runners, from those who want to try their first 5K, to those trail running veterans testing their limits in a half marathon.

Want to qualify to be a series runner to win some cool prizes? You must run at least three of the four races. Be advised, if you register for the series, your name will not show up under the individual race registration list.
The entire race series is expected to draw approximately 1,800 participants from Charlotte and throughout the Southeastern United States. So get 'outward bound' and join us!
North Carolina Outward Bound School

All proceeds from the races go to scholarships that support local youth, teachers and veterans attending North Carolina Outward Bound School's wilderness and urban courses.
North Carolina Outward Bound School is a non-profit (501(c)(3)) educational organization established in 1967 and is chartered by Outward Bound National, an organization that includes a wide network of wilderness programming, urban centers, and Outward Bound Schools that use experiential learning.
